Created by the legendary developer Ron Gilbert of Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island, the upcoming point-and-click adventure game Thimbleweed Park is aiming to bring back the classic aesthetic of 90s point-and-click games with modern influences and sensibilities, with its latest trailer showing more mystery waiting.

A new trailer was released for the upcoming game Thimbleweed Park, which was originally revealed in November 2014 and was successfully funded through Kickstarter in the month after.

In the latest footage, the new trailer shows how the game will blend the classic gameplay of 1990s-era point-and-click adventure games like Gilbert has been previously known for, along with blending various influences from the detective genre, such as The X-FilesTwin Peaks, and True Detective.

Thimbleweed Park is currently in development for Xbox One, PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, with release for the game expected in January 2017. In the meantime, you can check out the game's latest trailer below:
