Bandai Namco recently registered a trademark with the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office for Xiaomu (both in Kanji and Hiragana).

The trademark was filed for games and online games on June 23rd.

Xiaomu is (together with Reiji Arisu) the protagonist of the PlayStation 2 classic JRPG Namco x Capcom. She also appeared in Project X Zone and is scheduled to appear in Project X Zone 2.

Despite her appearance in niche games, she's quite a popular character in Japan, so it's interesting to see her name trademarked. It could indicate the intention by Bandai Namco to use her on more projects in the future.
