Napster is much more than the pre-Y2K music service known for infecting many, if not all, computers. The now-legitimate music streaming service is apparently the latest and greatest Nintendo eShop download in Europe. According to a Press Release, the download comes equipped with GamePad integration and a free 30-day subscription. There is no indication if the service will be coming to North America.
Unsurprisingly, many Wii U owners are confused — Nintendo has been moving away from their media services for some time now, including the removal of TVii. And while other services like Netflix and Amazon are still vibrant services, Napster remains a running gag of the early internet. Check out some of the responses (below) from Wii U owners:
