Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 to Feature a Ring Out Mechanic

I suppose ninjas don’t always land on their feet. Developer CyberConnect2 has revealed that the upcoming brawler Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will contain a ring out mechanic. In case you’re unfamiliar with the term, a ring out refers to a character falling or being knocked from a certain part of a stage, usually resulting in defeat. I’m fairly sure this is a first for the series.

This mechanic will only be present in certain stages and is one of the many changes the developer is making to the game’s fighting system. Could the ring outs be a sign that the devs are going for a more technical fighter with this installment? Perhaps.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will be available in North America in March of next year.
