It seems that the mayhem at the teddy bear picnic wasn’t enough of a lesson. In the upcoming sequel to Arificial Mind and Movement’s first installment, Naughty Bear – Panic in Paradise chronicles Naughty Bear’s woe as he is once again “forgotten” as the rest of the teddy bears run off to enjoy some time away on vacation. Unfortunately, they haven’t quite caught on to the fact that Naughty knows when he is intentionally uninvited to the bear festivities, as Naughty follows his ursine peers to Paradise Island.
Panic in Paradise will be digitally distributed this fall over Xbox Live Arcade and PSN, and will feature “a completely over-hauled combat system, brand new leveling up system, equipment customization with thousands of combinations, and over 30 mission set across 11 distinct areas of Paradise Island.” The new system is intriguing, as while I enjoyed the first Naughty Bear, it was essentially just a third-person visceral Pac-Man (and the iOS game really was just a violent Pac-Man, as it featured an overhead maze view). Keep an eye out this fall, in the meanwhile you can view the trailer and preliminary screens below.
