Our favorite developers, especially those working on the art side of things, often use their free time to create personal projects to hone their skills. Naughty Dog Senior Cinematic Animator Tal Peleg, who handled most of the cinematics of The Last of Us, and is the genius behind the hilarious "Joel Banderas" clip which we saw at last years VGX, is one of those artists, and is working on something extremely cool: a "fan fiction" cinematic revisitation of Electronic Arts' Dante's Inferno named Dante's Redemption.

Dante's Redemption is a CG animated short started in 2012 and scheduled for release this Summer, directed and animated by Peleg himself. It's going to focus on Dante's "Relentless determination and resolve despite the woes of hell."

Below you can check out a gallery of key artwork and stills from the upcoming video, on top of a beautiful teaser trailer.

The last piece of Key Artwork (featuring Beatrice) in the gallery is by Soa Lee, who is the Character Artist that created The Last of Us' Tess, Bill, Marlene and Sam. The second to last is by Naughty Dog Concept Artist John Sweeney.

If you want to follow the project, you can check out its Facebook Page.
