Naughty Dog’s New Concept Artist Shows Awesome Art, Including WWE Game Killed by THQ and More

Naughty Dog is constantly hiring great talent, and one of the latest new entries is Richard Lyons, who was welcomed into the house of Uncharted last march.

Lyons is a veteran of the industry. He started as an artist in 2002 at Big Ant Studios, then moved to Krome Studios in 2007. He was part of the THQ family from 2010 to 2013, first at Blue Tongue Studios and then at Vigil. After that he covered the role of Art Director at Crytek, until he was hired by Naughty Dog.

With that kind of career, it’s not surprising that he produces some really amazing artwork, that you can see in the gallery below. It includes concept art for WWE Brawl,  a WWE game by Blue Tongue that never saw the light due to the closure of the studio by THQ. There’s also a starship concept from another canceled game based on The Avengers, and from vigil’s Darksiders 2.

Besides many personal projects (as usual, remember that the concept artwork shown here does not represent any current game by Naughty Dog), Lyons is also keen on fan art, and below you can find some from League of Legends, Pacman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Hobbit, Titanfall, Okami, Destiny and more.

If you want to see more, you can check Lyons’ facebook page or his own portfolio blog.
