NBA Jam is No Longer a Wii Exclusive

With rumors and speculation in the air for some time now, it has been confirmed that NBA Jam will be arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, it isn’t what you’d think it would be.

NBA Jam was announced to be released alongside NBA Elite 11, and picking up NBA Elite 11 will be the only way Xbox 360 and PlayStation owners will be able to play NBA Jam. Yes, those who purchase NBA Elite 11 will receive a download code to have access to three modes of NBA Jam including Play Now, Classic Campaign, and Online. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

Check out this statement by the PlayStation 3:

“the ONLY way you will be able to play NBA Jam for the PS3 is to buy NBA Elite 11.”

So there you have it. This may be the only way for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners to play NBA Jam, but two games for the price of one doesn’t sound too bad. It may be a watered down version, but those three modes alone sound good enough.
