In a new post on the EA Sports website has revealed that the NBA LIVE 15 demo will be arriving this Thursday before the game releases next week. The catch is that you need to have EA Access in order to checkout the demo on Thursday.
If you have EA Access for you Xbox One, you can play the full game for six hours starting October 23rd, giving a great sample size to decided if the game is worth a purchases or not. Plus, since this six hour trial is the real game, any progress you make will carry over if you decide to buy the game down the line.
Xbox One owners that don’t have EA Access will have to wait to sample the game till the day of release on October 28th. They will then get the same six-hour trial to checkout the game that EA Access users get this Thursday.
If you are a PlayStation 4 owner, well, you get a little less to play with. As per the blog post:
PlayStation 4 hoopsters will have access to a classic game demo beginning on October 28. The demo includes a “Finals Atmosphere” Cleveland vs. Oklahoma City matchup with five-minute quarters. Ballers can also play through the adidas Learn LIVE Tutorial featuring Damian Lillard.
Essentially, you get the regular tried-and-true five minute quarter game with two teams that has been the demo staple for years. It’s a little bit of a bummer, because getting an unrestricted six hours of access on Xbox One can really impact your purchasing decision much more than this tiny slice of action.
Look forward to hoopin’ it up with NBA Live 15 on October 28th on Xbox One and PS4 when the NBA official season begins.
