Today developer Saber Interactive and publisher Mad Dog Games announced that their game NBA Playgrounds will be getting some brand new content in the upcoming Hot Update for the game.

The most significant feature in this update is the addition of 33 all new characters to play as. Also included is a new rebounding system, a 3-point contest mode, as well as the ability to invite your friends into game lobbys.

As of the time of this writing, it’s unknown when this update will arrive, however, when it does, it will be completely free of charge.

Saber Interactive also released a brand new trailer, highlighting the additions found in this new update. You can check it out at the end of the article.

Two weeks ago, the Nintendo Switch version of NBA Playgrounds received an update which added Online Play into the game. Due to that feature coming so late after its release, developer Saber Interactive decided to give its other game Shaq Fu; A Legend Reborn for free to any player who bought the Nintendo Switch version before the update released.

NBA Playgrounds was originally released on May 9th, 2017, and is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. You can check out our review by clicking here.
