Square Enix announced that their mobile game with developer Gumi Inc, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, will receive characters from NieR: Automata.

Beginning on August 11, players of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will be able to play as 2B, 9S, 21O, and Adam who appear in NieR: Automata. The characters have each been redesigned into pixel versions of themselves to fit into the mobile RPG's world. The event will end on August 24. Furthermore, A2 and Eve will be global exclusive characters. During gameplay, players will be able to fight against waves of familiar machines from the NieR: Automata world in order to gain medals that they can spend on rewards.

Additionally, for players who want a little more they can purchase the summer package which will be available from August 9 through August 18.

Also, during New York Comic Con, Square Enix will host a Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius fan event with Producer Kei Hirono and Global Version Producer Hiroki Fujimoto to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the game in west.

Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android devices where players face up against hordes of enemies in turn based combat, which fans of the series will be familiar with.
