The Neptunia series has mainly been released exclusively on PlayStation platforms, with PC ports following most of the releases. This includes all the mainline entries as well as the many spin-offs the series has spawned.

With the release of the Nintendo Switch, it seems more developers are interested in expanding out of their once PlayStation exclusive titles to test out the console hybrid.

DualShockers had the chance to speak with Neptunia producer Naoko Mizuno during Anime Expo 2017 to talk about the possibility of Nep appearing on Nintendo Switch. Mizuno-san replied:

It would be great if we hear feedback from our fans letting us know if they'd like to see Neptunia on the Switch, then it might be realized.

Additionally, since each of the main characters represent a console, we asked if we'd see a new main character for the Nintendo Switch, Mizuno-san teased:

In terms of  characters we may see a new character down the line, you'll just have to see.

The first Neptunia title was released as Hyperdimension Neptunia on PlayStation 3 in 2010. The game's premise has goddess who represent consoles competing in the never ending console wars. The gameplay has many story scenes and a unique turn-based RPG battle system.

It seems that Idea Factory is greatly anticipating the future of Neptunia series. Please stay tuned for our very long interview with Mizuno-san and Neptunia character designer Tsunako.
