Netflix Headed To The Wii, iPhone, and iPod touch

A report from multichannel.com has been making it’s round as of late. It states that Netflix will  soon offer the “Watch Instantly” video-streaming feature on Apple iPhones and iPod Touch devices and the Nintendo Wii gaming console.” If true this could work wonders for Nintendo’s little white box that could. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense on Netflix’s part. They already stream to the XBOX 360 and are pretty successful even though the 360 has it’s own video store. Bringing streaming to the Wii and it’s 60 million console marketshare can definitely make some serious waves. As far as iPhone streaming, don’t get your hopes up because 3G streaming for whole movies will probably not get the OK from AT&T, as the sling player mobile app was forced to go WI-FI only, just a few months ago. Either way, at least soon you’ll be able to play some Wii Sports Resort and then stream Michael Jordan’s Space jam! Woot!
