Today From Software released a batch of new screenshots and info about the upcoming title Armored Core V, that will be published on Xbox 360 and PS3 on January the 26th in Japan (and later next year in the US and Europe).

The new information includes the unveiling of the Extra missions, a cooperative mode for four players pitted against different enemies, between which a gargantuan and extremely powerful mecha named TypeD No.5. The Extra Missions won't involve an operator (a sort of squad leader) like the already announced 5 vs. 5 mode does.

The game will also include weapons inspired to previous games by From Software, like the Razor Blade LB-66 Moonlight, inspired by the RPG King's Field, published in 1994. iconic weapons from previous Armored Core games will also be present, like the the laser rifle LR-81 Karasawa.

Finally a new urban stage has been unveiled, featuring skyscraper and a maze of streets, creating the perfect environment for ambushes and providing several elevated positions for sniper operations.
