From Software published today a nice batch of screenshots of the upcoming Armored Core title Verdict Day, that will be released in Japan on September the 26th for Xbox 360 and PS3.

The screenshots show a few new models of Armored Cores, and introduce the Shinigami (Reapers), an unknown unit that appears mysteriously and suddenly on the battlefield attacking everyone indiscriminately.

We also get a glimpse on the factions that will be at the core (yeah, I went there...) of the story of the game: Sirius Executives, Venide, EverGreen Family, Signs, Voice of War and the Foundation.
