New Assassin’s Creed III Trailer Lifts the Hood and Exposes the Engine, Assassinates a Few Patriots

Ubisoft released today a new trailer of Assassin’s Creed III, showcasing the foundations upon which the game is built: The AnvilNext engine.

The video is definitely impressive (while trees continue to look really sketchy, for some reason), showing immense landscapes, field battles with up to 2,000 NPCs on screen and exquisite animations.

There’s even a surprise: Ubisoft has been extremely stingy in showing Connor assassinating anything else than British redcoats (unleashing quite the controversy in the process). Towards the end of this trailer he doesn’t seem too shy in testing his traditional arsenal against people dressed in blue as well. Fair is fair.
