Activision and Infinity Ward just posted several teasers of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare through different channels, featuring the new character that we glimpsed yesterday.

The new character is named "Lieutnant Reyes" and he belongs to the organization named "SATO." He also appeared today on the billboards in the Nuketown map on Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

The first teaser is looping on Call of Duty's official Twitch, and you can see a recording below.

Incidentally, for those unfamiliar with the lingo, "transmitting in the blind" indicates a transmission made without receiving any acknowledgment from listeners.

The second was posted on Instagram. The text "This is Lt. Reyes! Are you hearing me, soldier?" seems to indicate that Lieutnant Reyes might not be the protagonist, who could instead be the "soldier" who happens to receive the blind distress call.

This is Lt. Reyes! Are you hearing me, soldier?

The third appeared on Twitter:

We also get a link to a new facebook page called COD Messenger, that for the moment is empty. A "messenger" is also mentioned in the teaser before the transmission drops.

To add more mystery to it all, there's a new Twitter account named "SetDefWillRise" that for now only tweeted a code "WUNTOOFOXTROT," which means "12F "

Update: the code has been scrambled, and you can find the solution here.

On top of that, interesting new "threats" from the "Settlement Defense Front" have been rolling on loop in the chat on Twitch:

"Our blood boils, and so too shall your oceans."

"Our destruction will be final. You will watch as the walls around you crumble."

"Your future is obsolete. We will pour destruction like molten lava."

The wording of those ominous threats is actually very interesting, alongside the "We will blot out the sky" one in the first teaser: there are references to Earth's environment, like the sky and the oceans.

This seems to add solidity to the possibility that the Settlement Defense Front (also called "SetDef" in one of the new teasers) could be a terrorist or separatist organization created by space settlers with the intention of defeating or overthrowing the central government from Earth, represented by UNSA and what seems to be its military arm, SATO.

The Settlement Defense Front could also be in possession of some kind of doomsday weapon, possibly able to destroy Earth's environment.

Of course this is all speculation for now, but it would certainly make sense.
