Creator Dean Hall's September dev blog was just released and it explains a lot of new changes coming to DayZ including the game's inventory, player interaction, item damage, and the upcoming changes to zombie AI. The entire video is more than 20 minutes long making it packed with all kinds of information. While I won't go through everything I'm most excited that the AI for the DayZ standalone release would be created entirely from scratch, therefore it's no longer based on the ArmA 2 AI. If that isn't exciting enough, Hall demonstrates the various ways he hopes to get rid of the "kill on sight mentality," one of which is to have loot take weapon damage; meaning if you shoot another player to take their stuff, whatever you hit with your bullet will be damaged, including clothing.

While the DayZ release date is yet to be announced, it will release on PC.
