New Dead or Alive 5 Title Revealed, Will include New Fighters like Ninja Gaiden’s Momiji

Last night at Japan’s Tokyo Game Night Playse #1 tournament, Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi announced a new Dead or Alive 5 title. The game will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and it will include new playable characters. One of these characters is Momiji, a shapely shrine maiden that Team Ninja fans will recognize from the newer Ninja Gaiden games. Hayashi didn’t share any further details on the new game, but he did reveal the brief teaser trailer you can find below.

At the end of the teaser we can clearly see Momiji, who seems to have emerged victorious from a fight. The original DOA5 released in September of last year. Do you think it’s too soon for an update like this? I’m very interested in what new content (other than fighters) the game will include. I’m sure it will at least add the enhanced training mode found in the recently released Vita title Dead or Alive 5 Plus.

We’ll have new details for you as soon as they are revealed.
