New Details About Dragon Age III Emerge Over the Weekend

At the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo over the weekend, there was a BioWare panel which revealed some info about their upcoming third game in the Dragon Age franchise. While I didn’t care much for the second game, I dearly loved Dragon Age: Origins and am quite interested in how the third title plays out and in which direction BioWare decides to go.

It seems that Dragon Age III has taken longer in pre-production than many other BioWare projects, including Mass Effect and the aforementioned first series title, DA:Origins. That in itself has to tell you something. But, what’s even more surprising is the note that one of the levels in Dragon Age III is as large as the entirety of Dragon Age II. That’s pretty big. Very big, in fact. Practically the size of the state of Montana. (I have no facts to back that up…)

Finally there’s some concept art for the game which came out of the expo, which you can check out below. You can bet we’ll keep up-to-date on this title and any other news coming out of BioWare. While things are still early, it’s likely info about the game will speed up after the new year. One can only hope.
