New Details Revealed for Super Smash Bros.’ Version 1.04 Update

Another patch is rolling out this month for the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo’s Japanese website has been updated with a few details on the upcoming patch, which will bring balance adjustments to make the game more enjoyable. From the moment it is released, you will not be able to play in online matches until you install it. Additionally, players who install the 1.04 update will not be able to play local multiplayer with players who have yet to update the game.

The other big change will be the voiding of all replay data saved before the installation of the patch. That sounds terribly unfortunate and I do wonder if it is absolutely necessary, but oh well.

The Wii U version is right around the corner anyway.
