During the livestream of EVO 2017, Bandai Namco showcased a new trailer of its upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The trailer reveals one of the most beloved characters of the series, Trunks.

Trunks is the son of another of the most popular characters of the Dragon Ball manga and anime series, the Sayan prince Vegeta, and of Bulma, that has been part of the cast of the franchise basically since the very beginning. His prominence in the series has been raising basically constantly since his first appearance back in 1991, side by side with Son Gohan, who is the son of protagonist Son Goku.

On top of the trailer, we also get the announcement of the closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One. It will include nine characters and registrations will open to the public on July 26th.

You can check out the trailer below, and if you want to see more, you can also watch the first trailer, a gameplay trailer, more gameplay videos, and a further video with about fifty minutes of gameplay.

The game will come out in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, but the producer doesn’t seem to be opposed to a Switch port if there’s a demand for it.
