Today Square Enix published a new batch of information and screenshots about Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online (slated for release next year for the Wii and then later for the Wii U), mostly focusing on player housing and the thief class.

Capital cities in each continent include a residential village, different for each settlement. Villages are divided in parcels that players can purchase.

After buying the land players will have to buy one of the “house kits”, that come in different variations and sizes and can go from modest to very luxurious (and costly) and build their house on their chosen lot.

Once the house is built it can be decorated with a variety of furniture. Each piece can be moved and rotated. Even the exterior can be customized by collecting certain parts.

Player homes can house crafting facilities and friends can also be invited to visit.

The Thief class has also been introduced: thieves rely on agility and on dealing considerable damage, but they can also learn a few spells, even if they aren’t as powerful as Mages in that.

They can equip Daggers, Whips and Claws and they also have special skills, like the ability to steal and to locate tresure chests on the map.
