D# Published has revealed new gameplay footage as well as a new batch of screenshots for the upcoming Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair, an update to 2013's Earth Defense Force 4. The game will have updated graphics as well as additional story content such as kaiju-versus-robot battles. You will be able to play from 89 offline missions and 98 online missions.

Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair will be releasing in Japan on April 2nd for PlayStation 4. Check out the screenshots below:
