As we continue to near the release of Far Cry 5 this March, Ubisoft has started to divulge more information about the open world first-person shooter. Today, they released a new video showing off a fair amount of new gameplay while also detailing certain elements such as co-op and characters.

The video features Far Cry 5's Creative Director Dan Hay and Associate Producer Philippe Fournier as they provide these new details. Hay begins the video by talking about the number of characters that will be featured in Far Cry 5. Previous games in the series tended to have somewhere between 18 and 20 character spread throughout the world while Far Cry 5 currently boasts over 65. These characters are all unique and contain specific jobs and purposes within the world that Ubisoft Montreal has built.

This then leads to Fournier discussing how co-op will work in Far Cry 5, and for the most part it seems similar to how it played in Far Cry 4. Fournier specifically talks about the satisfaction that is found in having one player fly in a helicopter up above while another player takes to the ground in combat or navigates the world via truck.

There are a few of other aspects touched on throughout the video as well that range from the widlife that you will find in Far Cry 5 to some more snippets of gameplay featuring a flamethrower and a cute dog.
