The release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn's Patch 2.3 is around the corner, slated for July 8th, and today Square Enix released a large batch of screenshots showcasing the content of the large-scale update.

We catch a glimpse on new armor, new monsters, the dungeons that will be introduced with the patch (including a new section of the Crystal Tower), and on some much awaited new housing features like private rooms and Chocobo Training. We even get to see the new Kraken boss.

In addition to the screenshots, the publisher also released a brand new trailer which you can check out at the bottom of the post.

It's almost funny to think back to the times in which everyone thought this game was dead in the water, while now it's compeltely reborn, flourishing, and one of the best games out there on PS4, not to mention one of the best MMORPGs on the market.

I still remember the final days of 1.0, the fight against endless armies of voidsent and Imperials, the wait for the fall of Dalamud, and the final battle (mostly against lag). It all seems so far away now... But enough melancholy for now, you can check out the new assets just below.
