Today Square Enix released a sizable batch of screenshots of Final Fantasy XIV update 3.5, dubbed "The Far Edge of Fate." The update, split in two parts, is said to bring the story of Heavensward to its conclusion before the new expansion Stormblood, scheduled for this Summer. The first part of the update will come in mid-January.

The new screenshots showcases the expansion of the story, after the reunion with Yda and Papalymo, and include a new and unknown miqo'te. A man wearing an iron mask also appears.

We also get to see the new dungeons, Baelsar’s Wall and Sohm Al Hard Mode, and the equipment set that they will grant. Two new trials are then showcased (Containment Bay Z1T9 and its extreme version) alongside their boss Zurvan.

last, but not least, the screenshots showcase the new glamor feature for Carbuncle, that will allow Scholars to recolor the little critter, and the new cross-server party finder.
