During a conference at Paris Games Week, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata showcased a new tech demo of the game, giving a glimpse on its graphics powered by Luminous Studio engine version 1.4.

The video showcased the game's day/night cycle, weather, facial simulation technology, terrain editor, animation, artificial intelligence and particle visual effects, and everything looks absolutely fantastic.

Below you can see a recording of the video filmed directly on site by YouTube user Mika IIM. Video quality isn't the best, but it's definitely a good glimpse on what we can expect.

I don't know about you, but from what I can see, this is starting to really look like it'll be worth the wait.

Update: two more videos were posted afterwards, focusing on the game's open world. You can find them here.

Update 2: Added a better version of the footage, courtesy of YouTube user GamesHQMedia.
