New Final Fantasy XV Screenshots Show That it’s a Fantasy Based on Reality, More than You Expected

Square Enix just released new screenshots of Final Fantasy XV‘s demo Episode Duscae, and this time around they’re rather peculiar, as they feature a collaboration with the real world outdoors equipment company Coleman.

Basically, and I kid you not, Noctis and companions will use branded Coleman gear while camping, reproduced in the smallest detail and pattern, as you can see in the screenshots at the bottom of the post.

The Coleman gear introduced in the game will include tents, tables, chairs and dishes, and is intended (according to the press release) to give a compelling view of the world which is realistic, yet a fantasy.

This surely isn’t the first time something like this happens in games. For instance the Yakuza series Is well known for including real world products and shops in its fictional reproduction of the Kabukicho Tokyo district.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see¬†whether¬†more real world brands will be introduced in the finished game, or Coleman will remain an isolated case.
