New In-Game Screenshots for The Long Dark Show Desolation and Beauty in the Post-Apocalypse

The last few months have kept us slightly in the dark on The Long Dark, yet new screenshots (and the first to be taken in-game) have broken the silence and given a great look at what to expect from the Kickstarter-backed survival game.

While the screenshots do not feature any characters or familiar faces, the screenshots do show off some of the Pacific Northwest environments that the player will explore and survive in throughout The Long Dark, and also providing a great glimpse at the game’s beautiful artwork and style throughout its many landscapes and locations.

Hinterland Studios’ The Long Dark originally debuted through Kickstarter last fall under the direction of Far Cry 3‘s narrative director, Raphael van Lierop, reaching its $200,000 funding goal, and will also feature David Hayter and Jennifer Hale providing voiceover work for the title.
