The New inFAMOUS: Second Son Video Actually Shows the Origin of Delsin’s Powers

Sony Computer Entertainment released today a new commercial of inFAMOUS: Second Son, coming with brand new and shiny gameplay footage, but the video includes something that many could have easily missed in the quick sequence of scenes that form the 30 second long clip, and it’s something very relevant.

Sucker Punch previously went on record saying that Delsin gets his powers during the crash of a burning bus transporting prisoners. As he drags one of them out of the wreckage, he absorbs his first power.

The relevant scene lasts only about two seconds, but we can clearly see Delsin struggling with the prisoner (that we can recognize from the orange jump suit) at the 0:18 mark, and absorbing the power of smoke during the event, as showcased by the animated GIFs below, provided by inFAMOUS official forums user Rockshow2oo8.

It’s actually quite interesting to see that Sucker Punch sneaked such a relevant scene into a quick 30 seconds long clip, without giving it any actual mention or more spotlight time, but after all they’re the kings of Easter eggs, so we shouldn’t be too surprised.

In addition to that, the video also gives us a further glimpse on Delsin’s neon-based karma bomb, that has never been shown in its entirety.

You can check the video out below. It’s only 30 seconds, but it definitely looks great.

inFAMOUS: Second Son will hit the shelves in North America and Europe on March 21st.
