Ed Boon, the director of the upcoming DC fighting game Injustice 2, recently announced when the game's next character would be unveiled, and it's taking place this Monday on March 13.This new fighter will be revealed through the Up Up Down Down YouTube channel, which is the gaming channel of WWE wrestler Xavier Woods - AKA Austin Creed.Currently, the Injustice 2 roster boasts 22 different fighters. The most recent character announced to be joining the roster was Dr. Fate, who uses his magic abilities to take down opponents. Other recent additions to the game have included Swamp Thing, Cyborg, Cheetah, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy.In addition to this character reveal, Injustice 2 also recently received a new trailer. The Shattered Alliances Part 2 trailer showed off more of the game's story and was a follow up to the trailer of the same name that released a few weeks back. Part 1 of Shattered Alliances focused heavily on Cyborg's inclusion in the game's narrative while part 2 showed off the heightened tension between Superman and Batman.Injustice 2's roster continues to grow at a rapid pace and doesn't show any signs of stopping. According to the Injustice 2 website, there are still twenty empty character roster spots to be filled, which would put the game's final number of fighters to somewhere around forty. Even if there ends up being fewer characters than that, it's safe to assume that this Monday's reveal won't be the last in the lead up to launch day.Injustice 2 releases on May 16 for both the PS4 and Xbox One.
