Today, during a previously announced Twitch Livestream, developer NetherRealm showcased some new Injustice 2 gameplay footage, notably featuring the character Robin, among others.

The footage of Robin -- which only lasts for one minute and 37 seconds -- was captured by YouTube channel GameplayOnly - Trailers & Gameplay. As you can see in the video -- which is at the bottom of the article -- Batman also shows up and has a new stance, which is a subtle change after the reaction from fans about his stance in the first game.

Further, after some confusion NetherRealm has confirmed that the version of Robin in the game will be Batman's biological son, Damian Wayne, who is packing a sword, a grappling hook, explosive batarangs, and the ability to teleport.

Also during the livestream, NetherRealm Creative Director Ed Boon said that the game's roster will boast some rather obscure characters, aka characters that didn't appear in the first game, and that you might not know anything about. Given that Injustice 2's roster is set to bigger than the first games, this isn't very surprising. You have to get those additions from somewhere.

Boon also confirmed that codes for the game's beta are going out now, so if you're expecting a code, be on the look at for that.

Injustice 2 is slated to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017. Below, you can see the new gameplay footage:
