New Life is Strange Game Confirmed to be in Development

on May 18, 2017 12:19 PM

Today, developer Dontnod Entertainment and publisher Square Enix announced that a new Life is Strange game is in development.

The news comes via a blog post where the developer revealed that not only did the game recently surpass 3 million unique paying players, but as mentioned above, a new game in the series is indeed coming.

Further details on the game — such as, whether it is a sequel, a prequel, etc. — wasn’t divulged; however, Dontnod did reveal the game won’t be at E3 in any shape or form.

As you may know, The original Life is Strange launched episodically for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC between January 2015 and October 2015. It is widely considered one of the better games of that year.

Dontnod is currently also working on an action RPG called Vampyr, which is slated to release sometime in Q4 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Below, you can check out a new “special message” video which accompanied the announcement.
