Macross is a long and complex saga, and some of those that may approach the upcoming PS3 game Macross 30 that will hit the Japanese shelves on February the 28th may find themselves a bit disoriented.

To avoid that Namco Bandai is releasing a series of trailers that let everyone’s favorite Sheryl Nome explain some of the history behind the series.

The one released today showcases the first few years, from the very beginning with the Macross Zero prequel to the first, glorious TV series that starred Hikaru Ichijyo and Lynn Minnmay.  You can check it out below, and hold some lingering hope for a western release. It most probably won’t happen, but what do we have left without hope?
