During today's Nintendo Direct, we gained a bit of insight into the future content that will be coming to the multiplayer ink-based shooter Splatoon 2.

While not much was shown off, one of the new reveals dealt with the maps of Splatoon 2. For starters, the Kelp Dome map will be returning but this time around will contain more grates than in the past which will make you slip right through if you aren't careful. After that, Nintendo revealed an all new map for Splatoon 2 called Snapper Canal. This location takes place underneath a train bridge and also contains a river that runs directly through the middle of the map.

Next up, we saw a new variant of the Brella weapon that is called the Tenta Brella. This weapon protects players in a much wider range that normal and also resembles that of a tent -- hence the name.

While we don't know when the Tenta Brella or Snapper Canal will be coming to Splatoon 2, we did however learn that the Kelp Dome map will be available for play beginning this Friday, September 15. When we know more about the future add-on content for Splatoon 2, we'll let you know.
