New Metal Gear Solid V Picture Showing Mecha Revealed; Kojima Recounts a Mission with Lonely Ending

on February 25, 2015 8:32 AM

Legendary Metal Gear Solid V creator Hideo Kojima is hard at work on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and he just showcased a new picture of the game, showing Snake riding one of the personal mechas available in the game.

Kojima-san also recounted a mission he played while testing, ending with a rather sad note:

I’ve been putting the game together while using DD as a buddy all the time. From this week, I have changed to Quiet. However, Quiet has been injured during a mission and transported to the medical facility. So, with the pilot, only two people are sitting in the helicopter. The seat is empty. I feel somewhat lonely.

This is quite interesting, as it describes what we’ll see when things go wrong, and we let our buddy get wounded in action. Gotta take care of them, if we don’t want a lonely ride home.

Below you can check out the picture in full resolution.
