Sony Computer Entertainment UK just released a new Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes video including several minutes of awesome 1080p gameplay footage of the PS4 version and a Q&A with Game Director Hideo Kojima and Character/Mecha designer Yoji Shinkawa.
During the interview Kojima-san mentions that creating Ground Zeroes as a prequel of The Phantom Pain was not a strategic move, but just something he really wanted to do, while we learn from Shinkawa-san that thanks to the power of the new generation of hardware, the development team is able to convey far more information on the characters’ feelings to the player.
Kojima-san also wanted to make sure that the players understand that they can’t easily play the game like they played previous Metal Gear Solid titles, because the open world changes everything, and it’s not just about solving a puzzle created by the developers anymore. However, they could find progression even easier if they learn to think outside what the developers initially intended.
