Electronic Arts announced today the new modes for NHL 17, which comes out this fall for PS4 and Xbox One.

The first new mode is "Draft Champions" which simulates a fantasy draft with quick rounds and popular players.  The next new mode is "World Cup of Hockey".  In it players will be able to play on the international stage with their favorite hockey players.  The last new mode added is a Franchise Mode, which allows the player to take control and manage both the games and the business side of their desired hockey teams.

Along with all these new modes, the game also introduces a "Net Battle" system that allows for players to fight for critical space required for goals.  There will also be a new player-rank progression system for the EA SPORTS Hockey League.
