Flex your muscles and don your loincloths: a new developer update for Age of Conan: Unchained has just been published on the game’s official site. The update covers in great detail an upcoming update to the game, which will feature new areas for max-level players, new rewards (get your shiny on), feats, and some much-needed tweaks for Conquerers and Bear Shamans.

In regards to the new max-level content, the blog states:

… players will get to start to explore The Secrets of the Dragon’s Spine. This new set of content additions, which will be free to premium players, will be released in stages over the end of this year, and the first quarter on next year. This will first involve the opening up of the huge Dragon Spine outdoor area for 80+ players.

It also goes on to describe a complete revamp of trade skills, and furthermore, the addition of set bonuses for armor in-game. Set bonuses are no new concept – seasoned MMO players will immediately recognize the term (wearing all of the pieces of a particular set of armor gives certain stat boosts in “set bonuses”), but it’s nice to see the perk being added to Age of Conan: Unchained.

The dark and dangerous duneons of Dragon Spine also include a final dungeon, the Palace of Cetriss, a tier 3.5 raid that is sure to test your skills. In addendum, the developer promises many more fixes and additions in the future, but that they can’t all be detailed in one article – players will just have to wait and see what’s up next in their manly adventures.
