New Mortal Kombat to Be Announced on Monday at 8 AM; NetherRealm Would Love Shaolin Monks 2

We’ve pretty much known for a while that a new Mortal Kombat is about to be announced, and all the hints provided so far pointed to Monday. At last Creative Director Ed Boon gave us a time as well, through an anagram on Twitter.

The solution of the anagram is “Three days (it was still Friday). Eight AM to be precise.” The only missing piece of the puzzle is the time zone, since Boon did not specify, but for reference NetherRealm is in Chicago, while the publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is in California, so the most probable options are CDT or PDT.

Interestingly enough, Boon also responded to a question of a fan about Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, saying that the studio would love to make a second game like that.

In any case, it’s time to put the kids to bed, because the fatalities are (almost) back.
