New PersonaQ: Shadow of the Labyrinth Trailer Details Skill Usage; Party Members Can Now Swap Persona

In a new PersonaQ: Shadow of the Labyrinth trailer released by Atlus today, the importance of skill usage is denoted, as well as the reveal of a new mechanic involving Persona summoning.

The trailer first shows a party as it comes across a group of strong Shadows. They are unable to defeat them until Naoto uses one of her trademark instant kill spells (in this case Hama) to annihilate the enemy group. Yukari uses her indispensable healing magic on the group during the sortie.

A surprising mechanic is later introduced in the video, which allows party members other than the protagonists of Persona 3 and 4 to summon multiple Persona. For old school fans of the series, you’ll recall that this ability was in Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. It seems for the time being that the Persona summoned are restricted to the user’s Arcana.

The trailer can be viewed below.
