New Phantasy Star Online 2 Screenshots Showcase Update, New Field, Enemies and Bunny Costumes (UPDATE – WARNING)

on September 4, 2013 1:23 AM

Today Sega is releasing a new major update for Phantasy Star Online 2, and they sent in a batch of screenshots and information to give us a glimpse on what it contains.

We go back to planet Lilipa, where there’s a new battlefield waiting for us, named Derelict Mine. There we’ll have to fight, among the usual collection of trash mobs, three new bosses: Brew-Ringad, Vadersoma and Barbalilipa (the transliteration of the names may or may not be the most appropriate, that’s the nature of names in Katakana).

A new series of scratch cards named Moonlight Bunny is also part of the update, bringing costumes for players and partners, alongside an extremely cute Lilipan MAG.

You can check all the screenies out in the gallery below, and remember that if you want to play the game in English, you can thanks to the fan translation and my guide on how to install it.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: following reports from Japanese gamers, Sega put the update on hold and reversed the changes for the moment. Apparently the patch was faulty and actually deleted critical files from the users’ PCs. If you’re currently playing the game, it may be a good idea to hold off updating until things normalize.
