Indie Japanese fighter Phantom Breaker will miraculously be localized for North American release, and this new trailer shows the game modes and some of the features it will  boast. The trailer is in Japanese for now and apparently details lots of changes a forthcoming patch will make to the game. This patch will be available for the American version of the game upon launch and addresses issues with the online modes. We can also safely assume at this point that the game will remain an Xbox 360 exclusive for its international launch.

Furthermore, Phantom Breaker looks to hold a full suite of features that fighting game fans have come to expect from new titles. These include: online; both ranked and free, arcade, story, training, replay recording and viewing (or at least that's what I assume 'record' and 'replay' represent), and a 'game reference mode'. I think that might be some sort of in-game encyclopedia, which sounds pretty cool. SoulCalibur used to have stuff like that. Phantom Breaker will be available before the end of the year.
