Today developer Reagent Games confirmed that celebrity Terry Crews, of Brooklyn Nine-Five and Old Spice fame, will be a playable character in its upcoming game Crackdown 3.

In an interview with IGN, design director Garett Wilson confirmed the news:

He's a playable character. I think I'm OK to tell you that. I probably shouldn't say any more. He definitely is a playable character, and he's a character in the narrative, so he's in the opening cutscene and things like that.

Garett Wilson also commented on exactly how Terry Crews got involved with the title:

That was crazy. We got this call from marketing, and they were like, 'Terry Crews wants to be in the game.' We were like, 'that'd work. That'd absolutely work.' He's a real-life Agent.

This news comes off the recent trailer unveiled at Microsoft's E3 press conference, which was a live action trailer that featured the man himself in 4K glory.

We Recently, got a chance to play some Crackdown 3 at E3, where we thought that, while we still have concerns about the game, it's shaping up to be an incredibly fun time. On Monday the senior art director of the game confirmed that zombies will not be returning in this installment, and that glide suits might return in a future update.

Crackdown 3 is the next installment in the open-world action-adventure franchise Crackdown. The series takes place in a dystopian city and is known for its destructive environments. The last installment, Crackdown 2, was released on July 6th, 2010 exclusively for the Xbox 360. Crackdown was released almost ten years ago, on February 20th, 2007.

Crackdown 3 is set to launch on November 7th, 2017, exclusively on Windows PC and Xbox One.
