New PlayStation Store Launches in Europe

Sony has launched the overhaul of the PlayStation Store in Europe yesterday. The update goes live in the US on the October 23rd store update.

The new store includes several new features such as the Hero Concept, which has a “Hero” on each page in the “What’s New” area of the store. A “Feature Categories” section has been added that shows off featured items for that week on the store. All games have been divided by console to make finding games easier for users.

Inside of categories, users can now filter products in several ways that makes it easier to find items by name or price or compatible accessory. The best feature is the improved search that will find games the initial letters of a title being input.

Everyone with a European PSN account will want to check out the store now. Until then the rest of us will have to wait until the new store is live on October 23rd.
