New Project Aces Game Gets a Teaser Site: New Ace Combat Set in the Classic Fictional Setting Incoming? (UPDATED)

Today Namco Bandai opened a new teaser site for a “new Project Aces title”, as indicated by the url, confirming that a new game by the studio behind the Ace Combat series is indeed incoming.

The site doesn’t show much, besides a sentence that reads “The day our Sky fe||, the heavens split to create new skies” in English and Japanese.

The falling sky theme, together with the picture that was previously used as a teaser on Facebook (that you can see above), definitely seems to indicate a return to the old, beloved Strangereal fictional settings and its Ulysses asteroid. That would definitely be a welcome change after the unfortunate foray in the real world of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, but of course that’s just my personal speculation tinted by a bit of wishful thinking.

Will Ace Combat regain its lost unique flavor? We can only wait and see, but personally I’m crossing my fingers. You should as well.

Update: a trademark search unveiled that the title of the game is “Ace Combat Infinity” as you can read here.
