Amazon Confirmed: New PS3 SKU’s Headed To Europe

In a very “surprising” and “not like Sony” move, the PS3 250gb model previously only seen in Japan at the TGS is now making it’s way to European territories. Not only will they be receiving the 250gb version, they will also be getting another SKU which has Need For Speed: Shift packed into the box. With a release date of October 16th (Oct. 7th in the UK) for the standalone SKU and the NFS: Shift bundle to follow sometime after, it makes you wonder about the interesting choice in bundle title, and shows how different the European market is from the American market. Why they wouldn’t bundle it with Uncharted 2 is anyone’s guess. In the UK the 250gb console will go for £284.99 and you get (*3 selected games) when you order from Amazon, everywhere else in Europe it will sell for 379 Euros. The Need for Speed: Shift bundle will set you back 419 Euros sometime after that. To take a look at the SKU’s glance at the pics below.
