New PS4 Edition With One Terabyte Hard Disk Announced for Japan

on October 21, 2015 12:23 AM

While PS4 models with a bigger one terabyte hard disk drive are rather common in the west by now, Japan still didn’t have access to them, until now.

Today, Sony Computer Entertainment announced that a PS4 SKU with one TB of hard disk will launch in Japan on december 3rd, for 39,980 yen plus tax (which translates to $333).

The new edition, for now coming only in Jet Black color, will bear the model number  CUH-1200BB01.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the new release will positively influence sales of the console in Japan, after the spike caused by the recent price reduction of the 500 GB model.
