If you’re as old as I am, you possibly remember Jaleco’s Bases Loaded released starting in 1987 for Arcades, Nes and Game Boy. It even hit Nintendo’s Virtual Console for Wii, 3DS and Wii U.

Today publisher Mebius announced that Clarice Games is working on a new PS4 game to revive the IP, scheduled for release in Japan this winter.

The provisional title is Moero!! Pro Baseball, that was also the original Japanese title of Bases Loaded.

While not many details are available, the graphics will still be made with pixel art, inspired by the old-style visuals of the original, as you can see in the first screenshot below. That said, the gameplay will include new elements.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as more info are shared by the developer.
